Thomas Edison
With nearly twenty years of combined expertise in financial, retail, and SaaS sales and relationship management, I thrive on connecting people. I completed my undergraduate degree in Organizational Leadership and Business through Lipscomb University's adult degree program; however, I have to credit The University of Missouri and more specifically, Army ROTC, for giving me many of the tools that got me to where I am today. Whether cultivating client relationships or fostering strategic partnerships, I thrive on helping businesses grow through the assistance of AI and leveraging the expert trusted partners within my network. I'm currently pursuing a Master of Science in AI for Business at The National College of Ireland to expand upon those skills.
My commitment extends to the nonprofit sector as well, where I previously served as a board member for Phase Line Veteran 501(c)(3), a nonprofit seeking to eliminate veteran unemployment.
It seems strange to have a section just to tell you about my story, but I feel like the more we know each other, the more it creates opportunities for connection and relationships to develop. I'll start where I've ended – in Nashville, Tennessee, where I currently reside with my rescue pup, Khaleesi.
Originally from Virginia, I grew up as a pastor's kid and Army brat – I know, double whammy. I detest stereotypes, however, so I can almost guarantee I won't fit into whatever box you've subconsciously created. I made a decision to follow Chris as my Lord and Savior when I was eight while sitting at the dinner table with my dad, admittedly not realizing the full extent of what that meant. I have a better idea and appreciation now. That tends to happen as we walk through the challenges of life.
We started moving when I was ten because my dad was called into active or full-time military service whereas he had been serving as a part-time reservist previously. He and my mom have always been my greatest role models, and the sacrifices they consistently made for each other, those they served, and our country continue to have a ripple effect. My dad unfortunately passed from cancer in 2007, and my mom has just recently made a permanent move to middle Tennessee.
For me, the moves continued into adulthood as I navigated college, substantial loss, marriage, divorce, and career. I told you, I'm a ragamuffin. That's one stereotype I'll own. My faith always sustained me through the challenges of each move and new situation just as my experience as an Army brat and pastor's kid helped me to more easily connect with others. When you regularly find yourself as the new kid in the room you learn how to adapt quickly. Fortunately, you also learn how to make others feel welcomed. If we get the opportunity to connect, I genuinely hope I leave you feeling welcomed and valued.
